It’s been more than 60 years since the largest country in Southeast Asia regained it’s independence from the British, yet this area of the world is still in a state of civil war.

With the Military Junta in power since 1962 and the Karen and other ethnic minority groups running a long and bloody rebel campaign, the Union of Myanmar (as is the country’s official name)  is still years away from peace.
